Local scanning
MacMemo reads filesystem metadata after you grant Full Disk Access. It stores a private local scan index in your Application Support folder so results reopen quickly. You can clear this index in Settings.
Full Disk Access
macOS requires you to grant this permission manually. It lets MacMemo read protected folders for a complete map. It does not grant administrator privileges. MacMemo does not install a privileged helper.
Network requests
MacMemo contacts Dodo Payments when you activate, deactivate, or validate a license. It sends the license key and a user-readable device name. It contacts the signed update feed when you ask it to check for updates. No product analytics or automatic crash uploads are enabled.
Diagnostics
Nothing is uploaded automatically. If you export diagnostics for support, MacMemo replaces your home path with ~ and omits filenames by default. You decide whether to send that file.
Website and payments
Dodo Payments processes checkout as merchant of record and handles payment details, tax, receipts, refunds, and license delivery under its own privacy terms. MacMemo never receives full card details. Resend processes the email address needed to send purchase and support messages.
